How does renting a phone number work?
You pick a country and a live number, then pay for the plan length you choose from your Numsify rental balance. The number stays yours and renews for the same plan length while that balance covers it.
Can I rent a number for longer than a month?
Yes. You can pay for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year from your rental balance. Longer plans cost less per month. After that, it renews for the same plan length while your rental balance covers it. Your number renews on the platform you rented it on: web rentals renew on the web, App Store rentals through the App Store, and Google Play rentals through Google Play. Each country's page shows the periods and prices available.
Can I receive and send SMS with a rented number?
Yes, on numbers that support it. Each number’s supported features, such as receiving or sending SMS, are shown before you buy. Outgoing SMS and calls are billed from your rental balance.
Will a rented number work for WhatsApp, Telegram or other social apps?
Some apps restrict local or virtual numbers, so social-media verification isn’t guaranteed on a rented number. To receive an SMS verification code, use a Numsify one-time SMS code number, built for exactly that.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
We charge renewals 3 days before your period ends. If your balance is short, the number keeps working until the end of the period. Top up or renew from your dashboard before then, or the number is released.
Can I cancel or release a number?
There is no self-service release. If you stop renewing, the number is released after the grace and hold periods. Contact support if you need help.
