A one-time SMS code number is a single-use number for receiving one code. If the code doesn’t arrive, the one-time SMS is refunded to your balance.

Can I use it for one-time verification codes?
For a single code, a one-time SMS code number is cheaper and built for that. Rented numbers are for ongoing use; social-media verification isn’t guaranteed on local numbers.

How long can I keep the number?
