How to enable two-step verification in Telegram
Add a password to your Telegram account after SMS verification so the account is protected if someone later gets access to your number.
Short answer
Numsify can help you receive the Telegram SMS code. Telegram two-step verification is a separate password inside Telegram, and only you control it.
Step-by-step guide
- 1Open Telegram after your account is verified.
- 2Go to Settings.
- 3Open Privacy and Security.
- 4Select Two-Step Verification.
- 5Create a strong password and confirm it.
- 6Add a password hint only if it does not reveal the password.
- 7Add a recovery email if Telegram asks for one, then confirm the email.
Important notes
Numsify cannot recover your Telegram two-step verification password.
If Telegram asks for this password during login, enter the password you created in Telegram, not the SMS code.
Menu names can vary slightly between iPhone, Android, desktop, and Telegram versions.
