How long a virtual number stays available
One-time verification numbers are temporary. Each number stays active for 20 minutes, so request the code as soon as you buy it.

A one-time number is meant for a single verification session. It stays active for 20 minutes; if no code arrives in that time, the charge goes back to your SMS balance automatically.

Important notes
The number is active for 20 minutes, unless you cancel it or the session ends earlier.
If no SMS arrives before the number expires, the full price is refunded to your SMS balance.
You can cancel a number after the first 2 minutes. Cancelling before a code arrives refunds the price.
Do not rely on the same temporary number for future password recovery.
If you need the same number for weeks or months, rent a number instead.
