How to rent a phone number

Rent a phone number in another country. 1, 3, 6 or 12-month plans that renew for the same length on the platform where you bought them.

Short answer

A rented number is yours for as long as you keep renewing it. Plans come in 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. A rental renews for the same plan length from the rental balance, and only on the platform where it was bought: web stays on the web, App Store on the App Store, and Play Store on the Play Store. You pick a country and a live number, and the plan length you choose is paid from the rental balance.

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1Open Rent a Number and choose a country. Popular countries come first, from the lowest price up.
  2. 2Choose a period: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Longer periods cost less per month.
  3. 3Pick one of the numbers currently in stock. You can filter by digits. Part of each number is hidden until it's yours.
  4. 4Check Your order, which shows the country, period, number and total. If your rental balance covers it, rent it right away; if not, pay at checkout and the number is rented for you once the payment is confirmed.
  5. 5The number appears under My rented numbers with its full digits.
  6. 6Open the number to read incoming SMS and send messages.
  7. 7Whenever you want, add funds to your rental balance from the number's page; it covers renewals, SMS and calls.

Important notes

Numbers in stock aren't reserved until your rental succeeds, so another customer may take one first. If that happens after you pay, the amount stays in your rental balance and you can pick another number.
Social-media verification (WhatsApp, Telegram and similar) isn't guaranteed on local numbers. For a one-time code, use an SMS verification number.
You can have one active rented number per country.
